2007 Spatex Show in Brighton                        The annual Spatex pool show was held in Brighton this month. The show gives hot tub manufacturers the chance to showcase their products to prospective new dealers. The Advanced team attended to lend support to our Arctic colleges and to source other products i.e. saunas, gazebo’s and chemicals. The show also gave us the chance to check on the opposition and see what’s new out there.

New Installations
Our installations are continuing and you can see some of the latest at the top of this newsletter, including some of our customers Christening their tub.

New Team Member                       Advanced Arctic Spas also welcomed a new member to the team. Bo Linn has joined our sales team. Bo has already installed many spa’s with our tech team so he already has a decent level of product knowledge. He will be trained in sales and after sales service, he will be based at our Newtown St Boswells showroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

How important is a hot tub cover?

The cover of a hot tub is vitally important in terms of safety and running costs. We would all agree that heat rises therefore if the cover looses that heat, causing the water temperature to drop then the heating element has to replace the lost heat in the water (this drives up the running cost of the spa). The foam inserts that are placed into our cover skins are very unique, the foam is closed cell created from the injection moulding system used during the manufacturing process ( the water molecule finds it difficult to penetrate closed cell foam). Our covers also have a new mylow wrap to protect the foam even more from water penetration. If the foam in the cover starts to take on water it will stop insulating.

Pictured below is an Arctic Spa in East Lothian a few weeks ago. A small amount of snow has fallen, you can see that no heat is being lost through the cover as the snow shows no sign of melting.

Our covers are the strongest in the industry, originally developed to hold heavy snowfall in Canada without imploding. We typically don’t get that kind of snowfall however if a child or children get on top our cover you the customer can be safe in the knowledge that the cover won’t collapse under the weight. Our covers also come with padlocks to prevent any unwanted guests gaining access to your tub.
