About the company

Advanced Arctic Spas is owned by two life long friends, Matt Herbert and Kevin Higginson.

Having operated separately in business for the best part of twenty years they decided to join forces and become the Edinburgh, Borders and East Lothian dealership for Arctic Spas.

After twelve months researching the hot tub industry, both partners opted for Arctic Spas due to the quality of the product and positive reputation of Arctic Spas within the sector.

Matt is a time served joiner, working within the construction industry immediately after leaving school. He then set up his own joinery company called Datum Joinery before expanding into the bathroom and tiling installation industry, buying a company called Advanced Ceramics in 2002. Advanced Ceramics install quality bathrooms. The company has a showroom in East Lothian which has a large selection of bathrooms and tiles on display. The company continues to be successful and is always expanding due to its growing reputation within East Lothian, Edinburgh and The Borders areas.

Kevin left school and joined an Edinburgh based company which produced handcrafted ornaments for the gift trade. In 1990 Kevin decided to set up his own ornament production company based in Midlothian.

Although the company expanded through the years Kevin decided that retail was where his heart really lay. In 1998 Kevin bought two newsagent shops. The shops were very successful but very time consuming so in 2003 Kevin joined The Royal Bank of Scotland. He became a successful Business Banking Manager within East Lothian, using his business experience to help other business owners. Kevin has since left The Royal Bank to concentrate his efforts on Advanced Arctic Spas.
